Watson is a wizard. And it was awesome seeing Mike Brown go ballistic on that ref. “HOW MUCH DOES THE LEAGUE PAY YOU TO GIVE US THESE GAMES? HOW MUCH?? COME ON, WHERE ARE THE CALLS?!”
He pushes the tempo, he tries to be assertive. But he’s just not finishing plays. But this isn’t the JV squad. This team is not basketball rehab; this team is competitive with the right guys on the floor at the right time. I think at this point if he loses the starting job, nobody would think Ty Corbin is foolish. The question is whether or not the minutes shift to Tinsley who had a good game this week, or to Burks, or even to a trade.
Obviously Earl should play more – but with the other starters, or with the youth movement with whom he’s developed serious oop chemistry? And fastbreak chemistry… And defensive chemistry… I’m hoping one of the resident statisticklers will do a report on that.
And almost talked her into going as we were right across the street after a movie. Great gal but she’s not a hoops fan. Bummed I missed this one. Sounds like it was a classic.
Anyone that is a crazy enough Jazz fan to post on SLCdunk probably needs to find a spouse that likes the Jazz too.
Maybe I am just bitter because I couldn’t go to the game if I wanted to. :)
My wife pretty much hates all sports. She went to one Jazz game with me (the beat down on New Orleans two years ago) and was more interested in the Jazz Bear than the game. Though, she will go to Real Salt Lake games and says she enjoys the atmosphere.

How did you miss this!?

moonlighting in an er somehow leaves you with less free time at night
AllThatJazzBasketball - February 5, 2012
Also, anyone else think that the Lakers
“league best defense” is more a product of them just not getting called for fouls rather than them actually being a good defensive team?
Bebop - February 4, 2012
They are very good at controlling the pace
Which plays a big part in defensive rating.
Luckily tonight the Lakers didn’t hit as many shots, and the Jazz capitalised on their FB chances.

Balanced minutes = wins for this team
minutes for Jazz = Sap:26, Gordo:31, Al: 31, Raja:23, Harris:22, Earl:26, Howard:26, C.J.: 19, Favors:22, Big Turkey:17
JazzMT - February 4, 2012
Only downside
is media will blame this on being the second night of road b2b for the lakers. Either way, any day kobe loses is a good day in my book.
Bebop - February 4, 2012
Let's be honest, though.
There’s no way the Jazz make a run like that in the 4th if the Lakers aren’t gassed.
DWest - February 4, 2012
no
KaBar6 - February 4, 2012 via iPhone app
While we're being honest
There’s no way the Jazz lose to the Warriors the other night if the Jazz aren’t gassed from playing the Clippers the night before.
kailuakid9er - February 4, 2012
This
is certainly true.
DWest - February 5, 2012
-BLEEP- the media!
You play the games that are on the schedule. No excuses.

There are few things in life better
than beating the Lakers and talking trash to my Lakers fan friends.

Is it just me
Or has Harris played like crap since the trade rumors came out?
king.nothing - February 4, 2012
Harris?
Is he still on the team?

I think he's playing hard, but not well

wow 9 shot attempts, good fg!

You should probably screen your dates
Especially if you are going out on a big game night. Save your dating for when we are playing the Wizards.

It's ok Amar, I didn't get to watch either.
Good thing I could DVR it to watch later and as many times as I need a pick-me-up.

Apropos of nothing, but...
I sent my first tweet today! Let me know what you think:
@GregInUtah Hey Greg – nice blog post about Karl – but it was missing something. Two words – Comic Sans.

I...I missed this game...

I only caught parts. The parts I saw were good.
They did a lot better when I wasn’t watching though.
