You may not have been an internet-savvy Jazz fan back in the day, but BasketballJohn took this picture at a 2008 Rocky Mountain Review Summer League game . . . and for some reason it's been on my computer hard drive for years. The story behind this is that Fes was supposed to go into the game, but his Jersey was on inside out. The Jazz had to call a time out. This is, essentially, Fesenko at his best. Like, the blonde dye job isn't even the biggest mistake he made that afternoon; let alone day...

As always, caption away. Mine after the jump . . .

Kyrylo Fesenko: "See Koache, I now am dressing myself right jersey sides outs."
Tyrone Corbin: "... you're also not wearing any shorts..."

See Fes can dress himself, Coach Jerry was wrong.

The Jazz training staff looks on
anxious, apprehensive—remembering they taught him how to turn the sleeves back out yesterday, but wondering if Fes remembers.

Some tried not to look, but resistance was futile. Looking or not, all shared a strange sense of shame.

Reminds me of Ostertag in that movie 'Eddie'
when he runs on the court and pulls his pants down!

Awesome!
Me and the boy were at this. He kept trying to get Fes’ attention, but he was too busy trying to not piss off the coaches, which of course he did anyway. You could literally see Sloan steaming at the hair color.
Fes was slacking up and down the court partway through a game when both Phil and Jerry suddenly appeared with notebooks and sat at the table set up back-and-behind one of the baskets. All of a sudden Fes looked like someone had filled him with an oxygen-rich blood transfusion and he started beating everyone up and down the court and out-jumping everyone for rebounds.
So sad. That embodied Fes’ entire career. He requires a babysitter to perform.
Couple other nuggets from the game:
This was where I finally got to chat with Hot Rod Hundley and get my Lakers Legends card signed by him. He was a total stud, made ME feel like the legend.
Tried to shake Sloan’s hand at one point during a break, but he literally brushed me off and cut me off cutting up through the courtside seats on his way to the scorers table. Musta been the hair…
This was also the day I realized that Ty Corbin was a legitimate NBA head coach as he was acting coach for the Jazz squad. I was able to allude to this some time later (in a post at TUJB), last season, when I predicted on the night Sloan didn’t come out of the locker room that he and Phil would retire and Ty Corbin would be your new Jazz head coach the following day.

Fes: And you grab this sleeve and pull through
Corbin: Hurry up. Before Sloan sees you!
Sloan: Fes! What are you doing boy!?
